As an older dancer I have spent a lot of time negotiating deeply ingrained movement patterns from literally a lifetime of training and functional living.  The patterns have not always served me well, as injury/discomfort has often been an uninvited visitor.  I have found that developing increased awareness through somatic practice like Feldenkrais®, has brought me to a deeper understanding of movement embodiment and has sustained my longevity as a dancer.  The results are expansive even though the practice itself is subtle.  I highly recommend Feldenkrais for anyone who would like to move with ease and less effort, but particularly for performers; musicians, dancers, actors and athletes.
